At NKY Kids Dental, our commitment is providing you with complete and precise information so you can make confident, well-informed decisions about your child’s dental care.
FINANCIAL INFORMATION
We work with most dental insurance plans (including medicaid) and are pleased to handle the submission of your insurance claims as a complimentary service. Any costs not covered by your insurance plan are your responsibility and should be settled at the time of your appointment. When full payment cannot be made during your visit, we’ll send you a statement that includes an additional service charge. Please note that insurance coverage decisions are made by your insurance provider, and while we’re happy to work within their guidelines, we cannot influence their policies.
Our front desk team is always available to review treatment costs and insurance benefits with you before your first appointment and whenever questions arise. We encourage you to reach out to us anytime you need clarification about fees or coverage details.

Your child’s first visit to NKY Kids Dental is an important milestone, and our goal is to make every visit enjoyable and positive. We understand that parents may have concerns about how their child will respond to their dental appointment, and your help in preparing them is invaluable. We encourage you to stay positive and help your child develop a favorable opinion of dental care.
Please avoid sharing any dental anxiety you may have with your child. Try not to use words that may cause unnecessary fear such as “hurt,” “pain,” “shot,” “needle,” “drill,” or “pull.” At NKY Kids Dental, we use age-appropriate and non-threatening language to explain our equipment and procedures. Reassure your child that our friendly team will explain everything and answer all their questions in a way they can understand.

Taken only once to see developing permanent teeth on top and bottom front teeth unless problem specific
2 Bitewing Images
To evaluate for cavities, frequency once per year. May recommend more often if your child is prone to cavities. If the child has open contacts between their back teeth and visual inspection is possible, cavity check x-rays can be delayed

Frequency once per year after first permanent molars grow in. May recommend more often if your child is prone to cavities.

Taken once at age 7-8 to evaluate growth and development of adult teeth/orthodontic screening
